Altitude Training France

When you underestimate how long 14 km will take when you need to climb 2300m!

Mission: Run 100Km at Altitude and Test Out New Socks!

Location: France

Day 1: Departure and Arrival

Met Josh on the tube and caught the 6:00 am flight to Geneva. We were excited and full of energy, anticipating the adventure that lay ahead.

Day 2: Run in Chamonix

We took a bus to Chamonix and walked to our hostel. The weather was quite wet, and an intense thunderstorm hit, but that didn’t deter us. We decided to run 14km uphill in the storm. Despite getting drenched, the experience was exhilarating, and our hostel turned out to be fantastic!

Day 3: The Big Challenge The main event of our trip was here. Running 100km at altitude was no small feat, and it took much longer than we had anticipated. The terrain was challenging, and the altitude added an extra layer of difficulty, but the stunning views and the sense of accomplishment kept us going.

Day 4: Return to Geneva We ran down the mountain and caught the bus back to Geneva. The descent was thrilling and a perfect way to end our adventure.
